What people really cost in Dubai beauty and clinics

Salary ranges for the nine roles we fill most often, plus the full list of what an employer pays on top of the salary. Numbers come from our own placements, not from job board listings.

How to read these numbers

These are benchmarks from vacancies we closed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi: the figures employer and candidate actually agreed on. Not an unverifiable national average, but what people genuinely start work for.

A range inside a single role can easily differ twofold, and that is normal. In beauty and aesthetics the price is driven not by years of experience but by four specific things.

LicenceFor doctors and some treatment specialists a DHA or MOH licence changes everything. Without it a person cannot work legally; with it they become scarce overnight.
UAE experienceA strong specialist coming from another market loses speed in the first months: different brands, different client expectations, a different service standard. The market prices that in.
LanguagesEnglish alone pays less than English plus a second language. Clinics and premium salons in Dubai serve a mixed clientele, so Arabic or a second European language adds real value.
An existing client baseA specialist who brings clients along negotiates from a very different position. Often this, rather than seniority, explains the top of the range.

What you pay on top of the salary

The most common budgeting mistake is counting the salary alone. In the UAE an employer carries mandatory costs, and they change the real price of a hire noticeably.

A practical rule: budget noticeably more than the salary stated in the offer. Exact visa and insurance figures are worth confirming with your PRO or accountant, because they depend on your company's registration zone, the job title in the contract and the employee's age.

What a bad hire actually costs

A failed hire rarely costs one salary. You have to count everything already spent by the time the person walks out.

Visa and insurance are processed and non-refundable. Two or three months of salary are paid. Your manager's time went into training. The chair or the room stood idle while the appointment book did not. And the search starts again from zero.

That is why we give a free replacement guarantee for two months. It does its work earlier than you will ever need it: when the agency is on the hook with its own time and money, the temptation to close a vacancy fast with roughly the right person disappears.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these ranges come from?

From our own placements in Dubai and Abu Dhabi: offers candidates accepted and figures employers quoted. We do not take numbers from job board listings, where ranges are usually understated.

Why is the spread within one role so wide?

Because a licence, experience gained inside the UAE, languages and an existing client base decide it. Two specialists with identical seniority can differ twofold in price.

We pay below market. Is that bad?

Not necessarily. It is often offset by commission on treatments, a flexible schedule, accommodation or transport. What matters is that the difference is explainable and discussed before the start date, not discovered a month in.

How fast can a role realistically be filled?

Front-line beauty roles usually take around two weeks. Managers and licensed doctors take longer, two to four weeks, simply because there are fewer candidates.
