Assistants for clinic owners, medical directors and busy doctors in Dubai. This is a non-clinical administrative role: the assistant protects the doctor's time, keeps the paperwork and suppliers moving and takes the first look at patient complaints. We assess organisation and tact with patients and staff, and we check the clinic admin vocabulary the person really knows.
Hire a medical office assistantLooking for a job?An assistant who knows how a clinic runs, keeps the owner's calendar and paperwork under control and brings only real decisions to the doctor.
A medical office assistant does not need a clinical licence because the role is administrative. What matters is the boundary: the assistant never gives medical advice or makes clinical decisions.
How it differs from neighbouring roles. A clinic manager runs the clinic and its team. A patient coordinator looks after patient journeys. A medical insurance officer works on claims and approvals. A PRO handles government transactions. The medical office assistant supports one person, the owner or the doctor, with their calendar, paperwork and first-line escalations. Hire a clinic manager first if nobody runs the clinic day to day; hire this assistant when the owner or doctor is the bottleneck.

The role is administrative and non-clinical, so it is not a licensed healthcare profession. The assistant can support DHA and insurance paperwork by preparing documents and tracking dates, but clinical and licensing decisions stay with the licensed staff and the clinic management. Check your clinic's own compliance requirements.
