Moroccan bath (hammam) therapists for ladies salons, day spas and hotel spas in Dubai. The Moroccan bath is one of the most booked rituals in many salons: steam, black soap, kessa scrub, a clay or rhassoul mask, rinse and often a short massage or hair wash at the end. It is physically hard work in heat and humidity, and the client is at her most exposed, so technique, stamina, hygiene and calm manners matter equally. We assess candidates on a full ritual on a model, not on a CV.
Hire a Moroccan bath therapistLooking for a job?A hammam therapist who runs the full ritual on time, scrubs firmly but safely, keeps the wet area spotless and makes a first-time client feel at ease.
The hammam is learned by hand, and many candidates call any scrub a Moroccan bath. The checks below show whether the person can run the real ritual safely and pleasantly.
Practical tip. A Moroccan bath therapist is not the same as a general spa therapist: a spa therapist covers massages, facials and body wraps, while a hammam specialist is hired for the ritual itself and for working many hours in steam. Hiring a massage therapist and expecting a proper hammam, or the other way round, is the most common mistake. Another one is skipping the model assessment: scrub pressure and hygiene are invisible in an interview. Ladies-only salons and spas decide their own staffing within the law; describe the setting honestly in the job brief so candidates know what to expect.

Market estimate: about 2,500 - 4,000 AED per month basic for a Moroccan bath therapist plus tips, 4,000 - 6,000 AED plus commission for a senior hammam therapist in a hotel or premium spa, and 6,000 - 9,000 AED for a hammam lead or spa supervisor. Accommodation, transport, tips and commission on packages change the full package a lot.
Ask for a full ritual on a model in your own hammam room. Watch the sequence (steam, black soap, kessa scrub, mask, rinse), the scrub pressure and coverage, how the skin is checked, the hygiene of mitts, bowls and towels and whether the slot time is kept. Then call the previous manager about volume per shift and complaints.
