Endodontists for dental clinics and multi-speciality centres in Dubai. Root canal treatment is slow, precise and unforgiving: one missed canal brings the patient back with pain and a complaint. A good endodontist saves teeth other doctors would extract, takes referrals from general dentists and keeps the dental chair busy with long, well-paid appointments. We check the specialist licence route, microscope skills and the way the doctor manages pain, time and expectations.
Hire a endodontistLooking for a job?An endodontist who treats complex canals and retreatments under magnification, protects the clinic from repeat visits and complaints, and takes referrals from your general dentists.
An endodontist is licensed as a dentist with a specialist title, through the regulator of the emirate: DHA in Dubai, DOH in Abu Dhabi, MOHAP in the northern emirates. The route decides the start date, so we check it first.
If the clinic has no microscope or CBCT, the endodontist's real capacity is lower than the title suggests. Agree the equipment, the referral flow from your general dentists and the licence title before the offer. What the licence allows depends on the case. Practical assessment on a model: access cavity and canal location on an extracted or resin tooth under the microscope, working length, shaping and obturation, and reading a CBCT or periapical image to explain the plan. Typical hiring mistakes: hiring a microscope specialist for a clinic with no microscope, expecting full utilisation without referrals from general dentists, ignoring who does the final restoration after the root canal, and paying only on commission to a doctor whose appointments are long.
| Level | Salary, AED/month |
|---|---|
| Endodontist | 30,000 - 42,000 |
| Senior endodontist | 42,000 - 52,000 |
| Endodontist on commission | fixed plus 30 - 40% of collections, varies by clinic |
Market estimate, AED per month; it varies by clinic, experience and the fixed-versus-commission model. Visiting endodontists are sometimes paid per session or per case instead of a monthly salary. A clinic without enough referred cases to fill a full week often hires an endodontist part-time or on a days-per-week basis.
Besides the salary, the employer covers the work permit and residence visa, medical test, Emirates ID and mandatory health insurance. By UAE law these costs cannot be deducted from the employee's pay.
Exact visa and insurance costs depend on company category, emirate and plan. See the full cost of hiring guide or ask us for a budget for your case.
Market estimate: roughly 30,000 - 42,000 AED per month for an endodontist and 42,000 - 52,000 AED or more for a senior one. Part-time and visiting endodontists are often paid per session or per case, so compare the total on the same basis.
Yes, to treat patients in a Dubai clinic the endodontist needs a licence from the regulator for the emirate (DHA in Dubai) as a dentist with the specialist title. The usual steps are DataFlow verification, a requirements check, an assessment where required and activation under the employing clinic. What the title allows is set by the regulator and depends on the case.
