Sonographers for diagnostic centres, women's health and fertility clinics, cardiology and multi-speciality clinics in Dubai. A good sonographer produces images the radiologist or the treating doctor can report on the first time, keeps the ultrasound schedule moving and makes patients feel safe during the scan. We check the DHA licence route, the modalities the person really scans every week and how they work with doctors.

A sonographer in Dubai works under a DHA licence, and the images are reported by a licensed doctor. The licence route decides the start date, so we check it first.
Sonographers already licensed in Dubai can start much faster through a licence transfer. Which scans a sonographer may perform and how results are reported is set by the DHA and your clinic's protocols, so agree them before the first patient.

Market estimate: about 10,000 - 14,000 AED per month for a sonographer in general ultrasound, 14,000 - 20,000 AED for a specialist in obstetric, vascular or cardiac scanning and up to about 25,000 AED for a lead sonographer.
A sonographer performs ultrasound scans and prepares the images. A radiographer works with X-ray, CT, MRI or mammography. A radiologist is a doctor who reports on the images and is responsible for the diagnosis. A small clinic often starts with a sonographer and a reporting radiologist or treating doctor; a diagnostic centre needs all three.
