Hire a concierge in Dubai

Concierges for hotels, branded residences, private members clubs and luxury retail in Dubai. The concierge is the person who knows the city: books the restaurant everyone wants, arranges cars, yachts and desert trips, finds tickets, recommends the right place for the guest in front of them and solves the request that came in at midnight. In residences the concierge also handles deliveries, contractor access and residents' requests. We assess local knowledge, network and how the candidate handles a request that looks impossible.

Who we help you hire

A concierge who gets the table, the car and the tickets when it looks impossible and tells the guest the truth when it really is.

What to check before hiring

A concierge is only as good as their network and their current knowledge of the city. The checks below test both, plus honesty with guests and suppliers.

1
Impossible-request task: three requests at once: a table for six tonight at a fully booked restaurant, a yacht for tomorrow morning and a birthday cake with a specific design delivered to the room. The candidate explains whom they call, which alternatives they offer and when they tell the guest it cannot be done.
2
Local knowledge questions: where to take a family with teenagers on a Friday, a quiet business dinner near DIFC, a sunset spot away from the crowds. We look for current, specific answers, not a list from a guidebook.
3
Written confirmation: the candidate writes a confirmation to the guest with times, addresses, dress code and the supplier's cancellation terms, in clear and polite English.
4
References: a call to the previous chef concierge or front office manager about network, honesty with suppliers and guest feedback.

How it differs from neighbouring roles: the receptionist handles arrivals and payments; the guest relations officer looks after VIPs and their satisfaction; the concierge arranges everything outside the building. A lifestyle manager does similar work privately for one family and adds household admin, travel planning and budgets, so a hotel concierge is not automatically ready for that role. Typical hiring mistakes: hiring for a smart appearance and a famous hotel on the CV without testing the network and current local knowledge; not agreeing clear rules on supplier commissions from the first day.
