How much to offer a clinic manager in Dubai, and what the role really costs the clinic each month. The ranges below are market estimates that we use when advising clinic owners; the exact figure depends on the size of the clinic and on what the manager is responsible for.
Talk to usMonthly package in AED, market estimate for Dubai. There is no personal income tax on salaries in the UAE, so the amount in the contract is what the manager receives.
| Level | Typical clinic | Salary, AED/month |
|---|---|---|
| Clinic manager, entry | Small clinic, a few doctors, owner involved daily | 12,000 - 15,000 |
| Clinic manager, experienced | Busy aesthetic or multi-specialty clinic | 18,000 - 22,000 |
| Clinic manager, senior | Large clinic, owner stepped back from operations | 28,000+ |
| Operations manager | Single clinic with insurance billing and compliance load | 15,000 - 22,000 |
| Senior operations manager | Several branches | 22,000 - 32,000 |
| Group operations director | Clinic group | 32,000 - 50,000 |
Two managers with the same title can differ by ten thousand dirhams a month. The difference usually comes from the following.
Candidates compare whole packages, not one number. These are the usual parts.
The salary is not the whole cost. A worked example helps to plan the budget: a manager on 20,000 AED per month, of which 12,000 AED is basic salary.
Gratuity accrues at 21 days of basic salary per year, which here is 8,400 AED a year or about 700 AED a month. On top of that come health insurance, visa and work permit costs spread over the visa term, and the bonus if targets are met. Exact visa and insurance amounts depend on the company category, the emirate and the insurance plan, so ask your PRO or accountant for the figures for your licence.
The title changes the pay, so decide first which role you need. A clinic manager runs the daily business of one clinic: schedules, front desk, billing oversight, staff, suppliers. An operations manager owns processes, compliance and KPIs, often across branches. A medical director is a licensed doctor responsible for clinical governance, and that pay follows the clinical title, not the management scale.
TLNT is a hiring consultancy. We help clinic owners hire clinic and operations managers with Dubai experience: we search, assess candidates on real cases (a rejected insurance batch, a week of no-shows, a conflict with a doctor) and introduce those who meet the criteria agreed at the start. You make the hiring decision and agree the terms with the candidate directly; we advise on the market package and on the bonus formula. The manager is employed directly by your company, and you sponsor the visa; we give you a step-by-step checklist.
Our fee is fixed for each role and agreed before the search starts. A 10% prepayment of the fee starts the search, the rest is due once the person has started work. If it does not work out, we find a replacement free of charge; the period is set in the contract. Consulting and CRM projects are priced after a free review.
Market estimate: about 12,000 - 15,000 AED per month at entry level, 18,000 - 22,000 AED for an experienced manager and 28,000 AED or more for a senior one. Operations managers of a single clinic earn about 15,000 - 22,000 AED, group operations directors 32,000 - 50,000 AED.
There is no personal income tax on salaries in the UAE, so the manager receives the amount stated in the contract. The employer separately pays for the visa, work permit and health insurance; these costs cannot be deducted from the employee's pay.
There is no single standard. Common models are a quarterly or annual bonus tied to revenue or margin against plan, or to a few KPIs such as utilisation, show-up rate and insurance rejections. Whatever you choose, write the formula into the contract or a bonus letter.
