Recruitment without full prepayment: how 50/50 works

How the payment works

Our fee is one month's salary of the placed employee: 50% when they start and 50% after probation. No full prepayment, and a free replacement within 2 months.

• No money before you have chosen a candidate
• First 50% on the employee's first working day
• Second 50% after the probation period
• If the person leaves or does not fit within 2 months, we find a replacement for free

Why agencies ask for prepayment

Some agencies charge a retainer to cover sourcing time. It makes sense for rare executive searches, but for salon, clinic, household and office roles it shifts all the risk to the client.

What to check in any agency's terms

• When each payment is due, tied to a real event, not a date
• What exactly the guarantee covers and for how long
• Whether a replacement is free or discounted
• Who pays for visa and licence costs (by law, the employer)
